Pay Your Bill

Payment Information

We will bill your insurance for hospital charges. You are responsible for co-payments, deductible amounts and charges for services not covered by your health insurance. You will receive a bill detailing these charges after you are discharged; although this will vary depending on your insurance. Click here to view our participating insurance providers.

Payment Options

Our Payment Options Services has information on discounts, payment plans and financial assistance. The payment options coordinator can be reached by calling 231-876-7283.

Insurance Status

Your hospitalization may be classified as either "inpatient" or "observation" status for insurance purposes. This status is determined by your insurance company and is based on your diagnosis and reason for hospitalization. As a result of this, the amount you may owe on your bill will be affected by both your insurance coverage and your hospitalization status. Click here to view our participating insurance providers.

Professional Fees and Hospital Fees

You may receive multiple bills for your hospitalization. This is because medical providers bill for their professional fees separately from hospital fees. Your bill will reflect all of the services you receive while you are here. You may also have certain tests or treatments and may receive a bill from healthcare providers you did not see in person (i.e., radiologist, pathologist, surgeon), but who participated in diagnosing and interpreting your test results while you were a patient in the hospital. Please be aware that you will receive a separate bill from these providers.

Mercy Health Grayling has enhanced our billing systems to offer you an easy and secure method for paying your hospital bills online. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express for your convenience.

Our Billing Policies

If you are an insured patient, we bill your insurance company directly, according to the information provided when you received care. Your insurance company has 60 days to respond with payment. If there is a remaining balance after this time, the amount becomes your responsibility. Balances 90 days past due are subject to collection agency action unless prior arrangements are made.

All of our patients are treated with respect and dignity at all phases of their health care with us, including the payment process. If you are unable to pay your bill, we offer financial assistance in some cases.

Some patients may qualify for an interest-free payment plan, which may require a minimum deposit for services:
